First launch
Opening it for the first time
The app is not code-signed yet, so your computer may ask you to confirm the first launch.
Mac
Open the .dmg and drag Driftstack into Applications, then open it from Applications (a copy run from the disk image cannot update itself).
- macOS 15 or later
- Open Driftstack once. If macOS says Driftstack "Not Opened" (or that it can't check the app): click Done, then open System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down, click Open Anyway, and confirm with Open Anyway and your password.
- macOS 14 or earlier
- Control-click the app, choose Open, then click Open.
- Any macOS version
-
If macOS says Driftstack "is damaged and can't be opened": do not move it to the Trash. Open
Terminal and run
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Driftstack.app, then open Driftstack again. Only do this for a copy you downloaded from this page.
Windows
If your browser says the file isn't commonly downloaded, choose Keep. If Microsoft Defender SmartScreen appears when you run it, click More info, then Run anyway.
Linux
- AppImage
-
Make the file executable (
chmod +x Driftstack_0.2.0_amd64.AppImage), then run it. On Ubuntu 22.04 or later, install FUSE 2 first:sudo apt install libfuse2(on 24.04:libfuse2t64). - .deb
- Install it with
sudo apt install ./Driftstack_0.2.0_amd64.deb.
You only do this once; the app updates itself after that.
